Biography

General Mayhem Makeup Studio was created in 1985. I started working with mostly student films and local commercials, but as I gained set time and experience I was able to move into Independent films and print advertisements. Though I still maintained work in the retail sectors I continued to try and find work in makeup. And to do that I studied with various makeup artists such as Bert Roth, at that time head of the ABC makeup department and with several trade schools like Robert Fiance, in New York.

I, also, have taken the Dick Smith makeup course.

I decided to educate students so, I started teaching with various Universities and colleges, such as Baruch University, St. John's, Queens college, Nassau Community, as well as the Kim Marie school in Singapore.

From 1997 - 2005 I became the head makeup instructor at Christine Valmy Beauty School. There I created, at that time, their makeup curriculum and I taught both straight and effects makeup.

Even though I was teaching students in makeup I still kept up with my own education by learning with MAC makeup, Last Looks Makeup Academy, and privately.

Those instructors included Ve Neill, Richard Snell, Sam Fine, Thom Surprenant, and many others.

With those instructors I furthered my knowledge in beauty and the many aspects of special effects makeup.

The courses I took with those talented artists included Makeup for dark skin, character design, airbrush, prosthetic fabrication and application, hair laying and fabrication, baldcaps, and teeth fabrication.

In 2002 I graduated from Queens College with a Bachelors in Fine Arts.

In 2001 I joined the Hair and Makeup Union. Local 798.

In issue number 62 of the Makeup artist magazine there was a small article written of me.

I have also received 3 emmy certificates for my work on the View's Halloween shows 1999-2003.

I am currently on staff with Saturday Night Live and I am Will Forte's personal for that show.
